2023 Volvo XC60 B5 SUV Braking System Issues

Those who own or lease a 2023 Volvo XC60 B5 SUV should be aware of multiple concerns over braking system failures that have been lodged in recent months. The majority of these complaints pertain to unresponsive brakes and brake pedals that refuse to be depressed when the driver wants to slow the vehicle down. To date, the manufacturer has issued three separate auto safety recall campaigns, one of which concerns BCM2 diagnostic error that could cause a loss of ABS function on some occasions. However, even some of the customers who have obtained the recommended recall repairs from the local dealership have continued to struggle with intermittent and inexplicable braking system failures.

One driver of a 2023 Volvo XC60 B5 SUV stated that their vehicle experienced unresponsive brakes two times within one week. According to their report, the car started to move backwards, but the driver was not able to depress the brake in any way. Only after several attempts did the brake pedal finally respond and move toward the floor. Many other customers have lodged similar complaints, sometimes describing harrowing occasions where the vehicle was traveling at a high speed and the brakes were unresponsive. Until the manufacturer formally acknowledges and addresses these concerns, many Volvo customers continue to express concern about their vehicle’s overall safety.
