2023 Lucid Air Electrical System Failures

Those who own or lease a 2023 Lucid Air should recognize that several customers have reported various system failures in recent months. The majority of these complaints concern electrical system problems that lack clear explanations and effective solutions. Reports of sudden, inexplicable acceleration and loss of power have arisen from concerned customers as they wait for permanent fixes to these worrisome problems. So far, there are five separate auto safety recall campaigns impacting this make and model. However, only one of these campaigns pertains to electrical system issues. Unfortunately, many customers who have received the recommended recall repairs continue to struggle with inexplicable electrical system problems.

The owner of a 2023 Lucid Air reported that they were traveling at a highway speed of 70 miles per hour when their vehicle suddenly dropped into turtle mode, falling to a speed of 52 miles per hour. Fortunately, the driver was able to steer their vehicle to safety and avoid a collision. The service center was unable to identify the underlying issue, and the driver has expressed concern about the vehicle’s overall road safety. Other customers have shared stories about other electrical system and acceleration issues that make them wary to rely on these vehicles to transport them safely from place to place. Until the manufacturer addresses these concerns, many customers remain without the permanent fixes they want.
