2023 Honda Civic Sedan Braking System Problems

Over the course of the last few months, a slew of customer complaints have been reported by those who own or lease a 2023 Honda Civic Sedan. Although consumers are reporting a range of issues, the majority of the complaints have to do with persistent braking system failures that are making many drivers hesitant to operate their vehicles because of safety concerns. So far, the manufacturer has issued one official auto safety recall that pertains to braking fluid leakage, many customers are sharing that their vehicles are still experiencing braking system issues outside the scope of the recall campaign. For now, many customers are calling on the manufacturer to address their specific concerns in greater detail.

The owner of a 2023 Honda Civic Sedan described an incident during which they were traveling at a speed of approximately 30 miles per hour. As the driver approached a hill, they lightly tapped the brake pedal, but instead of slowing down, the vehicle surged forward and collided with a boulder near the roadside. Other customers have reported similarly harrowing incidents where they press the brake pedal and the car accelerates considerably, leading to a collision in some cases. These customers are expressing serious concern about the safety of this make and model, calling on Honda to acknowledge these hazards and provide permanent fixes to stop such incidents from happening again.
