Those who own or lease a 2021 Ford Escape SUV should know that several customer complaints have arisen in recent months regarding persistent engine issues. From loud, clunking noises to engines that emit smoke, engine issues continue to cause significant concern to many Ford customers. Although the manufacturer has issued three separate safety recalls affecting this make and model, Ford has yet to address many of the engine issues customers are experiencing.
One driver of the 2021 Ford Escape SUV stated that the engine began to vibrate and emit loud noises while traveling at a speed of approximately 65 miles per hour. No warning light illuminated, but the driver took the vehicle to the local dealer, where no issue or remedy was offered. Another driver was driving at a speed of 50 miles per hour when black smoke began to seep out of the engine compartment. The driver pulled the vehicle to safety, where the engine caught fire. No injuries were reported, and no diagnosis was made. Similar reports of engine issues continue to arise as Ford customers await clear answers and permanent fixes to these persistent engine problems.
