Several reports of malfunctioning powertrain and transmission systems have been reported by those who own or lease a 2020 Ford F-250 Supercab PU/EC. Transmissions that lag, jerk, emit knocking noises, or otherwise fail to engage safely continue to arise. While Ford Motor Company has issued a safety recall affecting this make and model, it does not address transmission or power train issues. According to one driver of the 2020 Ford F-250 Supercab, the transmission refuses to shift at times and sends the truck into high rpms. Even after three trips to the dealer, the issue has not been fixed. Other drivers have described transmissions that experience severe hesitation when accelerating, with some vehicles lagging and then suddenly surging forward dangerously. Reports of loud grinding and knocking sounds in the transmission have also been reported.
