2020 Ford F-150 Supercab Engine and Powertrain Malfunctions

Those who own or lease a 2020 Ford F-150 Supercab should be aware of numerous customer complaints that have been lodged about engine and powertrain issues in these vehicles. Reports of inexplicable, loud clunking sounds occurring when the vehicles shifted and of vehicles that were prone to losing all engine power while in motion have arisen in recent months, with affected Ford customers calling on the manufacturer to acknowledge and address these safety issues. So far, the manufacturer has issued a total of eight distinct auto safety recall campaigns impacting this make and model. However, these campaigns concern other vehicle defects, such as faulty windshield wipers and inoperative rearview cameras. For now, many customers are left without the permanent fixes they need to feel safe behind the wheel once more.

One owner of a 2020 Ford F-150 Supercab stated that their vehicle was traveling at a speed of approximately 50 miles per hour. Suddenly, the vehicle lost all motive power, and the driver discovered that the gear slector was stuck in the drive position. When the truck was towed to the dealer, no diagnosis was made. Unfortunately for the owner, the same issue reoccured. Again, the dealership was unable to identify the source of the failure.
