Over the past few months, several complaints have arisen from those who own or lease a 2020 Acura MDX SUV. The bulk of these concerns involve engine issues, ranging from engines that emit grinding noises to engines that stall or shut off for no reason. The manufacturer has launched a safety recall concerning a defective fuel pump, but several customers continue to report a range of engine problems with no clear solutions.
One driver of a 2020 Acura MDX SUV stated that their vehicle shuts down and shifts into neutral while at a stop. This has happened on several occasions, yet the dealer has been unable to locate the source of the problem. Another driver reported that their vehicle’s engine suddenly lost all power while traveling along a two-lane highway. The driver was able to steer the vehicle to the side of the road, narrowly avoiding a collision. This issue happened again on two more occasions, even though the dealer has been unable to diagnose or repair this problem.
