2020-2021 Chevrolet Camaro Powertrain Issues

Those who own or lease a 2020 or 2021 Chevrolet Camaro should note that a number of consumer complaints have recently emerged regarding power train malfunctions. Several drivers have complained about transmissions that lag, fail to respond, or shudder violently. Although the manufacturer has issued two recalls impacting this vehicle, neither addresses these transmission problems directly.

According to one customer who purchased a 2021 Chevrolet Camaro in September of 2020, the vehicle started having transmission problems only three months after purchase. The transmission began to shudder and the driver had difficulty shifting the vehicle into gear. At one point, the transmission completely failed and caused the car to stall in the middle of a turn—narrowly avoiding an accident. The issue has continued to persist, even after multiple trips to the dealer. Similar complaints from concerned Chevrolet customers continue to emerge, even though the manufacturer has yet to formally address these issues.
