A slew of customer concerns have emerged in recent months regarding powertrain issues in the 2019-2020 Jeep Renegade SUV. From loud, persistent clunking sounds to engines that stall for no clear reason, Jeep customers are expressing their frustrations over these recurring issues. Although the manufacturer has issued three separate recalls affecting these vehicles, no recall campaign addresses powertrain issues.
According to one driver, their 2020 Jeep Renegade SUV was traveling at a speed of 55 miles per hour until it suddenly stalled without any warning. The dealer found that the transmission and transmission module needed to be replaced, even though the vehicle’s mileage was still very low. Another Jeep owner stated that their 2019 Jeep Renegade SUV shut off completely while traveling at a speed of 40 miles per hour, and the same issue has occurred on three subsequent occasions. So far, the dealer has been unable to fix the issue.
