2018-2020 Mitsubishi Outlander SUV Engine Malfunctions

Those who own or lease a 2018-2020 Mitsubishi Outlander SUV should know that a number of consumer complaints regarding persistent engine issues have been reported in recent months. Claims of engines that lag, hesitate, or stall continue to emerge, with many Mitsubishi customers expressing frustration over these persistent issues. While the manufacturer has issued four safety recalls affecting this vehicle, engine and transmission issues have not been specifically addressed.

According to one owner of a 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander SUV, their new car immediately started to stall at various and random times. For instance, the engine would shut off while at a stop light or at a four-way stop. Other times, the car struggles to start at all, requiring the driver to turn the key as many as three times before the engine sparks to life. Similar complaints from other drivers continue to emerge, detailing a variety of engine problems that have yet to be solved, even after many unsuccessful trips to the dealership.
