2018-2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV Engine Problems

Over the past several months, a range of engine issues have been reported by those who own or lease a 2018-2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV. Complaints about engines that rapidly leak coolant and engines that sputter, lag, or stall have caused many drivers to express their concerns about the overall road safety of this vehicle. There are currently seven recalls impacting this make and model, many of which pertain to faulty engine parts and systems. While these recall repairs have been effective for some customers, many others continue to share their concerns over these persistent engine troubles.

One common complaint about the 2018-2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV is that the engine is prone to stalling. According to one customer, their 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV has shut off entirely on five separate occasions—some events happened on the freeway while traveling in excess of 60 miles per hour. Fortunately, the driver was able to steer the vehicle to safety, but this persistent issue has caused significant concern about the overall safety of this vehicle. Multiple reports of engines that leak coolant too rapidly and of engines that appear to strain, sputter, or lag continue to emerge.
