2017 Nissan Maxima Recurring Braking System Failures

During the last few months, a slew of complaints from those who own or lease a 2017 Nissan Maxima have arisen. The bulk of these concerns address recurring braking system issues, many of which have yet to be acknowledged or addressed by the manufacturer. Reports of brakes that shudder, squeal, shake, or outright fail continue to crop up from concerned Nissan customers. Although four separate safety recalls impact this make and model, many customers continue to experience braking system malfunctions that have yet to be resolved.

The owner of a 2017 Nissan Maxima lodged a harrowing complaint in which the AEB system misfired and caused the vehicle to stop in the middle of fast-moving traffic. Fortunately, the driver was able to lead the vehicle to the shoulder, narrowly avoiding a collision. Other customers have shared reports of braking systems that emit loud noises or appear to struggle when engaged. Some drivers have experienced total brake failure. Until the manufacturer provides lasting solutions to these issues, many Nissan customers remain hesitant to drive their cars out of concern for their safety.
