2017 Lexus RX350 Engine & Acceleration Problems

As drivers, we assume that when we press the accelerator pedal, our vehicle will respond accordingly. It should react within a reasonable amount of time, but it shouldn’t suddenly lurch forward in a seemingly uncontrollable manner. Unfortunately for many people who own or lease a 2017 Lexus RX350, acceleration and engine issues are becoming quite common. From unresponsive accelerators to those that suddenly and unsafely propel the vehicle forward to cars that simply refuse to start, consumers across the nation are lodging their complaints about faulty accelerators and engine issues with the 2017 Lexus RX350.

According to one driver, the car behaves in an unpredictable manner. Sometimes, pressing the accelerator does nothing and the car simply sits there, while other times a light tap on the accelerator causes the vehicle to lunge forward. Another driver reported multiple instances of their vehicle constantly lunging and hesitating while the driver attempted to merge onto a highway, nearly causing an accident on three occasions. This consumer described how the car often shudders and sounds like it is struggling to find the right gear. Other owners shared instances of vehicles that refused to start after they were not used for only two days. In some cases, they had to wait for several minutes and then press down hard on the brake pedal to make the car start, but sometimes even this action did not work.
