Numerous consumer complaints regarding the 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque (3-Door, 5-Door, and Convertible) are continuing to emerge, most of which describe various powertrain and electrical system failures. People who own or lease these vehicles have experienced engines that suddenly lose power, stalling engines, lagging or grinding gears, and similar issues. So far, the manufacturer has issued a total of seven recalls for this vehicle, although some consumers claim that these repairs have not sufficiently addressed their recurring problems.
One driver complained that he has been experiencing numerous instances whether the accelerator pedal is depressed, but the engine hesitates, lags, or fails to respond altogether. This problem has occurred on multiple occasions, nearly resulting in serious car accidents in some instances. The dealership attempted to fix the issue, but the driver continues to experience this problem. Another driver of the 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque shared an instance where the car was traveling at a speed of 65 miles per hour when the vehicle suddenly lost power, forcing the driver to cross three moving lanes of traffic to get to safety on the shoulder. The car appeared to be stuck in drive but would not accelerate. Similar reports from concerned consumers continue to crop up, though many still await clear and permanent solutions.
