2017 Kia Forte Steering System Malfunctions

Those who own or lease a 2017 Kia Forte should know that multiple reports of steering system issues have been lodged by other Kia customers. Complaints of steering systems that jerk suddenly and dramatically to the right or left when the vehicles are in motion, steering wheels that lock intermittently and without warning, and concerning noises coming from the steering column have been reported. So far, the manufacturer has issued three separate safety recalls impacting this make and model. However, none of these recalls addresses steering system issues, leaving many Kia customers without the permanent solutions they seek.

One owner of a 2017 Kia Forte reported that they were driving their vehicle at a speed of 40 miles per hour. Suddenly, the steering wheel locked, causing a complete loss of control over the car. As a result, the vehicle veered into a guardrail and caused minor injuries to the driver. Other concerning reports of persistent steering system issues continue to arise, with customers awaiting the clear explanations and remedies they need.
