Those who own or lease a 2017 Honda Accord may experience a loud and persistent grinding noise when they apply the brakes. Multiple reports have surfaced from consumers who are struggling with loud, screeching brakes, and some even claim that the noise still happens when the brakes are not depressed.
One driver reported that the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) randomly activates while the car is in motion, causing the brakes to lock up completely. Other consumers shared experiences of applying the brakes, only to have them hesitate, sputter, or not react. When these same consumers brought these issues to the attention of the dealership and manufacturer, they did not receive a clear explanation for why they were encountering these problems.
