2016 Tesla Model X 90D SUV Steering System Failures

Steering system failures can be disorienting and alarming when the happen out of the blue and for no apparent reason. In recent years, several drivers have expressed their concerns about persistent steering system problems in the 2016 Tesla Model X 90D. Those who own or lease this make and model should know that hundreds of customer complaints have arisen regarding defects with the steering system, many of which have yet to be resolved. So far, the manufacturer has announced ten separate auto safety recall campaigns impacting this make and model, steering system problems are not the primary issues addressed by these campaigns. For now, several customers continue to struggle with worrisome steering system failures.

The owner of a 2016 Tesla Model X 90D reported that they have experienced a steering system issue on multiple occasions. The problem occurs when the driver is attempting to make a left or right turn while the Autonomous Self-Driving feature is activated. As the driver starts the turn, the steering wheel seizes up until the self-driving feature is disabled. Other drivers have noted that when they try to make a turn, the vehicle suddenly decelerates to approximately 10 miles per hour, which can present a significant safety risk to the driver and other people on the road. Unfortunately, many of these Tesla customers lack the explanations and solutions they need to feel confident behind the wheel once again.
