2016 Kia Rio Recurring Engine Malfunctions

In recent months, multiple reports of recurring engine issues have been lodged by those who own or lease a 2016 Kia Rio vehicle. These engine issues primarily concern inexplicable excessive oil consumption and engines that tend to lose power while the vehicle is in motion. So far, the manufacturer has launched two distinct auto safety recall campaigns impacting this make and model, one of which urges customers to keep their vehicles parked outside because of an increased risk of engine fire. Unfortunately, even though the customers have been notified about the engine-related recall, many have been unable to obtain the recommended recall repair at the local dealership. For now, many Kia customers remain hesitant to operate their cars because of these safety concerns.

One owner of a 2016 Kia Rio stated that a recent vehicle inspection identified that the engine consumed an excessive amount of oil. However, no underlying cause was uncovered. Many other Kia customers have lodged complaints about their 2016 Kia Rio cars suddenly and inexplicably losing power while driving. Moreover, several customers impacted by the recall have been unable to take their vehicles to the dealership for the recommended replacement part, as these components have not been made widely available. For now, many Kia customers continue to wait for lasing fixes to these concerning engine issues.
