2016-2017 Ford Taurus Recurring Steering System Problems

In recent months, multiple reports of steering system issues have arisen from those who own or lease a 2016-2017 Ford Taurus. Customers have reported recurring issues with the steering column pulling to one side for no clear reason, sometimes even causing the the wheel to lock up completely. The manufacturer has issued two separate auto safety recall campaigns that affect this make and model. Unfortunately, neither campaign addresses steering system defects, leaving many worried customers without the clear answers and permanent solutions they need to feel safe on the road once again.

According to the driver of a 2016 Ford Taurus, their vehicle’s steering wheel has pulled dramatically to one side on more than one occasion. The driver attempted to redirect the car back into the lane, but the steering wheel locked up and made it nearly impossible to control the vehicle. Other drivers have reported similarly harrowing incidents, with many expressing tremendous relief that they were able to move their vehicles to the side of the road and narrowly avoid a collision. Until the manufacturer provides clear solutions to these safety issues, many Ford drivers remain hesitant to drive their cars out of fear for the overall safety of their vehicles.
