2022 Honda Odyssey Van Powertrain Issues

In recent months, several customer complaints from those who own or lease a 2022 Honda Odyssey have been reported. The majority of these complaints concern persistent powertrain issues, ranging from engines that revv suddenly and for no apparent reason, loss of acceleration, transmissions that shift into neutral without warning, and other troublesome malfunctions. Although the manufacturer has issued two separate safety recalls impacting this make and model, neither addresses engine or power train problems, leaving customers without the clear answers and solutions they seek.

One Honda customer reported that they were traveling along the freeway at a speed of 70 miles per hour when the transmission shifted into neutral without warning. Suddenly, the van could no longer accelerate, prompting the driver to scramble to steer the vehicle to the shoulder. The dealer could not identify the root of this issue, but they replaced the transmission, even though the van had fewer than 2,000 miles on it. Similar reports of power trains and engines that lose power, revv, or malfunction continue to arise, with more and more customers calling for permanent fixes to these concerning issues.
