Those who own or lease a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTD should know that several customer complaints have been lodged in recent months. While the concerns pertain to various safety defects in this make and model, the bulk of them focus on braking system issues. Reports of braking systems that either fail to respond when engaged or that activate suddenly and without warning continue to arise from concerned Chevrolet customers. Although the manufacturer has issued two separate safety recalls affecting this make and model, neither addresses these persistent and recurring braking system issues.
According to one driver of a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTD, they were driving in moderate traffic at approximately 20 miles per hour. When the driver applied the brakes, the pedal started pulsating and failed to respond. The driver then stomped on the brake and only narrowly avoided rear-ending the vehicle in front of them. Other reports of braking failures, especially when towing a trailer, continue to arise from concerned Chevrolet customers who are still waiting for clear answers and permanent solutions.
