2018-2019 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV Engine Troubles

Those who own or lease a 2018 or 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV should be aware that a number of consumer complaints have emerged in recent months regarding a number of engine problems. From strange, persistent noises to engines that completely shut off for no clear reason, consumers are still looking for answers and permanent fixes to these recurring problems. While the manufacturer has only issued one recall that affects this vehicle, it does not specifically address engine troubles, leaving drivers hungry for effective solutions and explanations.

One common complaint concerns loud clunking or rattling noises at various times, most often when the engine is cold. Other drivers shared their experiences of having their engines stall or turn off completely for no apparent reason. One owner stated that he’s already taken his 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe in twice to have the transmission recalibrated, but the vehicle continues to stall out when the accelerator is depressed and a turn is attempted. Another driver complained that their engine completely shuts off when the vehicle is stopped at a red light, and the start button needs to be pushed at least ten times before the engine will restart. For now, these frustrated consumers are still waiting for someone to identify the root of their engine troubles so that they can finally receive a permanent fix.
