Significant engine issues have been reported by drivers of the 2017 Buick Encore SUV. From stalling engines to engines that smoke or burst into flames, consumers continue to express alarm over these dangerous incidents. Currently, there are still no recalls that have been issued regarding engine defects in the 2017 Buick Encore SUV.
One frustrated driver described how the vehicle began to stall while the car idled, then started to shudder and stall while the car was in motion. After taking it to the dealership and receiving no answers, the driver still experienced multiple instances of the engine stalling. Another owner of the 2017 Buick Encore reported that the car erupted into flames. She arrived at work, parked the vehicle, and turned off the ignition, but she quickly spotted smoke coming out from under the hood. After exiting the car, she witnessed the flames consuming the entire front portion of the vehicle. A similar incident of a fire destroying the front part of the vehicle was reported by another consumer, who had to pull a passenger to safety. Harrowing incidents like these have still not been addressed or explained by the manufacturer.
