Significant engine issues have been reported by drivers of the 2017 Buick Encore SUV. From stalling engines to engines that smoke or burst into flames, consumers continue to express alarm over these dangerous incidents. One frustrated driver described how the vehicle began to stall while the car idled, then started to shudder and stall while the car was in motion. She arrived at work, parked the vehicle, and turned off the ignition, but she quickly spotted smoke coming out from under the hood. A similar incident of a fire destroying the front part of the vehicle was reported by another consumer, who had to pull a passenger to safety.
