2017 Audi A3 Sportback E-Tron Engine Malfunctions

There are many components in a car’s engine or electrical system that can go wrong. For those who lease or own a 2017 Audi A3 Sportback E-Tron, it’s important to realize that many complaints have arisen about safety issues relating to malfunctioning engines and electrical systems. From engines that shudder and stall to vehicles that completely lose power while on the road, a range of issues have arisen for drivers of this make and model.

According to one recent complaint, the driver was driving along at a speed of 45 mph, when the car suddenly stalled. Even though a diagnosis was performed, no reason was found for this issue. Another consumer reported that the engine has repeatedly shut off when the car is actively moving in either drive or reverse. A warning light sometimes comes on, telling the driver to restart the engine manually, and the car begins to roll away unless the driver engages the brakes. This consumer reported that this issue has occurred over ten times, and dealerships have still been unable to find a reason for this problem. Other drivers have filed complaints about their 2017 Audi A3 Sportback E-Tron suddenly losing power while they are actively trying to merge onto the freeway, putting their safety in jeopardy.
