2016-2017 Hyundai Sonata Steering System Malfunction

If you own or lease a 2016-2017 Hyundai Sonata, you should be aware of multiple complaints from concerned customers regarding steering system issues. From random and recurring power steering failures to steering wheels that locking up and becoming impossible to maneuver, concerned Hyundai drivers are speaking up about these inexplicable defects. Although the manufacturer has issued three separate safety recalls impacting this make and model, none of them addresses steering issues. For now, affected drivers remain in the dark about these issues and await clear and effective solutions.

The driver of a 2017 Hyundai Sonata described an issue in which they were driving at a speed of approximately 45 miles per hour when the steering wheel appeared to seize up and became difficult to maneuver. The dealer was unable to diagnose the issue or determine the underlying problem. Other Hyundai drivers have spoken up about their power steering features failing while their vehicles were in motion, nearly causing collisions on multiple occasions. Unfortunately, many of these customers have not yet received clear answers or fixes to these failures.
